Problem Statement
The European Cleft Organization faced a major problem with their Gateway website design which was making the medical institutional data available to those in need. Finding the correct data relevant to visitor was time consuming. This resulted in the organization struggling to effectively reach and help its audience due to the limitations of their Gateway website. Also the website did not have a process to manage GDPR rules and regulations regarding the processing of personal data; this became a major time consuming administrative manual task.

Horus Consulting revamped our Gateway website to make it more user-friendly and accessible, especially for parents seeking information and support related to cleft conditions.
Data Aggregation and Processing
- All new simplified the data structure design enabled in combining and summarizing data from multiple sources into a single dataset which resulted in better performance and less storage.
- The design enhanced the search functionality to select the relevant data in optimised manner ensuring it's accessible for everyone, whether you're a parent or doctor or simply seeking information.
Geospatial Mapping
- The geospatial mapping feature connects you with resources and experts right in visitor’s local area. This feature enabled access & visibility of localized support networks and build connections close to visitor’s present location.
- The mapping feature isn't just about locations; it's about personalized assistance. Visitor can find resources tailored to his specific keywords, location and category; making the whole experience more personal and helpful.
General Data Protection Regulation(GDPR) Compliancy
- There are many hospitals, clinics, doctors and assistants who all contribute to the treatment of cleft lip and palatepalate. Therefore, personal data is recorded on the website to assist parents, doctors or information seekers, and this data is stored securely.
- Structured process was built which will adhere to GDPR when sharing the data. The concent approval emails are periodically shared, Only the resources who have accepted the request to make their data is visible for others is visible. In other cases personal data is masked.
