Problem Statement

DentUrgent faced some tough challenges as the appointments needed to be booked outside normal working hours, during school holidays, official holidays and during normal working time. With conventional manual process where patient calling to book appointment; there was need for team of assistants to support 24 * 7 calling desk. This also did not give much flexibility to patients to choose convenient schedule and there was big dependency on availability of assistants. It also had other challenges such as patient data could not be validated by patient themselves. Possibility of requesting booking fee to the patient was very lengthy process. Registering the patient data for the appointment became time consuming as it had to be also used for further analysis for marketing and reviews. Also, the patient data had to be manually entered within multiple systems such as appointment system, dental care system, payment system and accounting software. This increased risk of patient data security and integrity. Recognizing these challenges, DentUrgent realized the need to update their appointment system to make things smoother and more efficient for both the DentUrgent team and the Patients.
